Heatwave Summer Bazaar 2012 x Booth #57

*Still groggy O_O* from KOI's fashion show last night. haha!

But as promised! Here's my adventure at the world trade center with my dearest friend Jamie. Adventure talaga? HAHA.

We both love sales, bazaars, trade fairs and tiangge and whatever you call it. *wink*

We went to the event right after SoFA Open House. It's already the 2nd day of the 3-Day Bazaar. Our entrance tickets was sponsored by Ms. Maris so her store which is Miss Mannequin, Booth 57, was the first we visited.

Tadaaaaa! We went uber crazy with her summer dresses and pants! Perfect summer outfits they are!

Of course the three of us were privileged of 10% discount on any MM items! Yey!

We then pigged out before going booth to booth. The fragrance of beef shawarma lured us to seat on Enzo's Shawarma booth. haha!

We made sure to visit each and every booth. Yeah right. Deadma lang sa wedge! hahaha.
 Don't you know guys that shopping can be healthy as well?
Walking for almost 3 hours is like equivalent to your 1 hour morning jog.
Plus, you tend to focus your attention to other stuffs instead of foods!


The event was sponsored by GMA 7. Little did I know that this event is also for a cause. There was an auction where proceeds will be given to Kapuso Foundation. That day, performer celebrity guests were Barbie Forteza and Jake Vargas while the auction was hosted by Kuya Germs and Gerald.

I also was finally able to take a glimpse of my pasalubong from my Kuya's and sister-in-law's Bora  and Davao Trip. 

The orange hat's from Bora. The purse and the earrings are from Davao. I requested for the Capiz Earrings since I already lost the one I bought at Davao when we visited there. ☺

Going to bazaars like Heatwave is therapeutic. Because your world will be suddenly filled with colors and fun. The fact that you will also be able to help while enjoying yourself is uplifting and terrific. ♥ 

Now, am I ready to hit the beach? Soooo reaaaady!

School of Fashion and the Arts (SoFA) Open House 2012

I attended the Shool of Fashion and Arts (SoFA) Open House 2012 last Saturday together with my college blogger friend Anneg08 who was actually the one who invited me. 

SoFA is the Philippines' fashion college offering a full range of extensive and short programs in design, merchandising and business founded by Ms. Loralee Baron-Soong & Ms. Amina Aranaz-Alunan. It is also the Philippines' Representative of Europe's top fashion and design school, Instituto Marangoni Partnerof Project Runway Philippines 1 & 2.

We were introduced to the programs and workshops offered in SoFA. Ms.Amina Aranaz-Alunan, Co-Founder of SoFA, was very nice and warm. She answered each and every question raised by the guests. After the talk and forum, we got the chance to take a tour inside SoFA.

Friday the 13th

Suuuuuper late post! hahaha. 

Well anyway, I had a FUNtastic Friday the 13th as opposed to the belief that this day brings bad luck to people. In every rule there's an exemption and that's me. LOL.

*Friday morning I made the announcement of winners for my first mini giveaway made possible thru Miss Mannequin to the Heatwave Summer Bazaar. :)

*Friday morning I shared a status saying 'I am soooo P.G. (Puro Gastos) HAHA'. How true! HAHAHA.

*Friday evening I went to SM Center Valenzuela to treat myself and made a little shopping because it was pay day! It was also SALE at the mall so I was able to grab cute items for low costs! I bought some clothes to fill in my closet (well it's already jam-packed) haha, like 2 blazers for Php150.oo each, a dress for only Php250.oo and a blouse for another 150.oo. All in all, I spent less than Php1,500.oo for more than 1 garment where in I usually spend that much for a pair of shoes only! HAHA. Am I starting to learn how to spend wisely? LOL! SALES and BAZAARS are now my new best friends. haha! So ayun nga, I am a certified P.G.! HAHAHA. 

I had fun doing shopping alone and I always do. Growing up with 3 boys (my dad and 2 brothers), I learned how impatient men are when it comes to shopping. HAHAHA! *peace* Even my boyfriend. Like if we're dating in a mall and decided to shop, we have to seperate ways so we can buy whatever we wanna buy or else we'll end up buying nothing at all. Really! HAHAHA! Admit it girls, we're the only ones who understand each other when it comes to mall-ing! :)

On a serious note, I used to believe that Friday the 13th is indeed a not-so-luck day. Now I guess some things out of our control are really bound to happen. It solely depends on us on how we are going to live and face them. Remember, being HAPPY is a CHOICE. And to choose or not to choose is always a CHOICE. Well then, I would always CHOOSE the brighter side of life. ☺

First blog giveaway feat ..☺

I wasn't active in blogging for the past months until I decided to go back. 

On my comeback this late February, I decided to follow few blogs that I think are sensible and worthy of my time reading until I came across to this blog who was currently having a Yabu KatsuCraze Blog giveaway.  And I think he was the only male blogger I was following during that time. Catch was giving away 500 worth of GC and a Shirt from Yabu. 5 of his readers will win through random.org. Meaning, I could only win by chance. Nevertheless, I joined. For the first time. After following all the steps stated on the mechanics, I browsed some of his outfit posts and wonder how he could manage to update his blog everyday. Since my head didn't reply, I went back updating my blog.

Few days have gone and I almost forgot about the contest until when I was browsing my  blog's homepage and saw the post 'CatchG x YabuPH Katsucraze Blog Giveaway Winners'. It got me reminded about the giveaway and clicked the link.

I was surprised to learn that I WON! hahaha. Surprised because I never thought that I could be lucky with raffles. I was even the 2nd among the list! HAHAHA! I was so happy then. :D

I tweeted him about how I could claim the prize. And he's very swift to reply that it'll be a meet up at SM Mega Mall. I was nervous and at the same time excited to meet him. We met on a Saturday morning at Starbucks with the other winner Hezron. I was shy because I was late!  To think that I am just a few walk from mega. HAHA. Sorry! Won't happen again I swear. :) 

I saw his hair. I think it's one of the colors  that requires a lot of confidence to wear. Something white and creamy. HAHA. Eye-catcher? Definitely! I knew it was him already. There was the two of them, Hezron and Catch. Having a coffee, talking. I thought it will be awkward meeting someone who you just knew through internet. But it was the other way around. Catch is very cool and friendly not exactly the one I had in mind. I thought he's snob and stiff because I never saw him smile in his outfit posts. HAHA. Well, I finally saw him smile in person! He definitely knows a lot about fashion and style blogging. He shared and told us some of his adventures as a blogger and some of personal stuffs. He's very generous for giving us tips, some do's and don'ts on being a blogger. Hezron on the other hand was kinda timid and shy then, but I think he's sweet and smart. He's a com-sci student at PLM. We got along easily but had to bid goodbye after almost an hour. :(

A jam-packed yet meaningful Saturday

Geeeez! I finally got the time for my blog. hehe.

I wanna share with you guys the 'feats' I had yesterday. As the title goes, it was jam-packed yet meaningful and fun! 

As early as 12:30AM, God gave me a reason to face the day with extra glee. 

I now have my FIRST sponsor for my blog and will be holding my first blog giveaway soon! I am grateful to Ms. Joan Lee for trusting and giving me the opportunity to blog about her products. Trust me guys, these are very cute and fab items you can rarely find in the online world. Can't exactly tell how but after I visited her page and browsed some photos, I tried my luck to acquire a sponsorship through her upon sending my proposal. She said she like my ideas and told me right away that she'll be sponsoring my first blog giveaway. Isn't that just awesome? I know right! I will reveal the 'product' I am referring to soon. Few minutes after Ms. Joan and I had the talk, I slept with a big smile ^________^ on my face. Then woke up early for another 'feat' is awaiting. I will finally meet CatchG! I think he's the only male blogger I am following so far. For the first time, I joined a blog giveaway, and it was his. Luckily, I won! My first blog giveaway feat! Next was dating with my boyfriend. After meeting CatchG, I went home and met my boyfriend to watch the movie 'Wrath of the Titans'. It was a great movie. Will make a review about it real soon. After the show, I FORCED him to come with me at The Off Price Show, he was hesitant at first but after putting off all my convincing power, he still didn't manage to say no. haha! I think my boyfriend enjoyed as much as I did. We were able to buy US brand clothes for a much cheap price. More of this soon! hahahahaha! :)

Last feat yesterday was participating and joining the Switch Off ceremony for the Earth Hour at Ayala Triangles, Makati. Thankful to my boyfriend Dawn, baby brother Lui and FB (Favorite Buddy) Robie for coming with me. It was successful and fun. I'd love to expose myself more with this kind of events/campaigns.  Again, details are to be followed. haha!

From Makati, me and my brother entered the bus heading to Bulacan. When we passed by at the Obando Church. Vendors are lined-up busy decorating palm fronds. It dawned to me that it's another  day. It's Palm Sunday already. Also April Fools' Day. I smiled. Confident that this day is another blessed one. New feat is surely just around the corner. :)

Don't you love maximizing your 'day off' with various activities such as these? Glad my last day of March was fully stretched with every minute's worth spending and cherishing. :)

Switch off your lights! Go beyond the hour!

World Wild Fund (WWF), a non-profit organization is hosting 60+ Earth Hour which will be observed on March 31, 2012, Saturday, from 8:30-9:30PM worldwide.

This year, WWF is promoting 60+ Earth Hour which means going beyond the hour of switching off our lights.

WWF Philippines together with LGUs, other non-profit organizations and private sectors are actively encouraging the whole nation to participate in the Earth Hour Campaign.

SWITCH-OFF Ceremonies will be held nationwide! So every Filipino has no reason not to participate in this move to save our mother Earth. Here are the official venues for the switch-off ceremonies:
Luzon: Ayala Avenue, Makati City
Visayas: Plaza Independencia, Cebu City
Mindanao: SM City Davao, Davao City
There will be a parade to kick off the switch-off ceremonies. Program will start by 7:00PM.

For those who cannot come, you can still participate by doing it on your households and by joining your whole community! Yes, that means no facebook, no twitter for more than an hour. But every little action can make a BIG difference! So let's do this together to save our planet!

Conquerors Meet Richard Gomez

This happened last March 13. (So sorry for the late post!)

My brother and I have always loved and have always been a fan of Bench! My brother usually buy his closet essentials there and is actually collecting different colors of Bench Towels. He also has a loyalty card of Bench. While I love their Tofu Slippers, Undies and Colognes.

This year, Bench is celebrating their 25th Anniversary. So as part of their celebration, Bench is having a lot of promos and giveaways on their facebook and twitter page for their fans and loyalties. 

Last February, they held a promo on their twitter account where followers should constantly and actively answer their questions for 5 consecutive days. It's been quite a while that I cannot recall exactly what the 5 questions were anymore but the questions were all about the word CONQUER since the prize is a bottle of Conquer Perfume by Richard Gomez

Followers should tag @Benchtm with the hash tag #BenchScentsRichardGomezCONQUER . Participants can tweet as many answers as they want. Since it's their 25th Year Anniversary, BenchTM will choose 25 consistent tweeters for the promo. I decided to join and ask my brother to join as well since we're both active on twitter and other social media sites. LOL. Well, it's also a way of promoting our favorite clothing brand. :)

Luckily, me and my brother Lui were chosen. We were announced as one of the CONQUERORS! 

Sadly, since the date will fall on a weekday, my brother sent my father (who idolizes Richard Gomez a lot) as his representative. And since the date will fall the day before my birthday, I decided to take a leave from work. haha!

Until March 13 arrived. 

My dad was so excited that we came at Circles Makati Shari-La as one of the early birds. I even had time to take this creative shot of him while waiting at the lobby!

It was our first time to enter at Shangri-La Makati, first time to eat at Circles and first time to meet Richard Gomez.

When Bench Staffs arrived at the restaurant, we were asked to join them in the exclusive function area at the restaurant. While waiting for Mr. Richard, we got the chance to mingle with other winners who made it that day and have some photo opts. 

This is my new found friend Anne (one of the early birds too), 22, she recently graduated last week. She's now a communication professional like me maybe one of the reasons why we easily got hooked with each other. we're almost the same age too because I was about to turn 21 by that time then. She does modelling and loves attending various fashion events.

After a while, we were asked to eat lunch while still waiting for Mr. Richard. Yey!

Take note, it was a buffet lunch! So generous of Bench! :)

My father and I separated ways. He busy choosing from all the viands while I headed out on the 'Desserts' section immediately. haha!

I swear I am sooo gonna go back to this restaurant with my family! For only Php1,600, you can taste different scrumptious cuisines. So worth it! Will share to you guys more about Circles Restaurant on my other post at SunDManOnGastronomy. :)

Mr. Richard Gomez arrived on the middle of our lunch. The world seemed to stopped for a moment. He was so adorable and handsome! I am not really a fan of him but the fact that he's a celebrity made me ecstatic. 


My dad kept on demanding on me to take a photo of him and Richard! haha.

Dad is soooo happpy!!! 

We paused for a while Ms. Theresa Leung of Bench formally introduced to us the very first celebrity endorser of Bench! Richard also gave a little talk and trivia about Bench, but the most remarkable part of it was when he said, "This is not just about having lunch, it's about Bench giving back to people and helping others. True that! Each of us can help on our own little way. If we will only WILL it.

Going back to Richard Gomez, I can say that he's cool and natural aside from the fact that he's really tall. He can actually relate to all of us without being proud. He's very charming and approachable. He talked and shared stories with us as if he we're his friends. 


Of course I can't miss having a photo with him. :) I was really so nervous being seated beside him!

After everyone was done eating, we proceeded to the other function area for the awarding of the Conquer Bottles.

It was a great opportunity for me to celebrate my birthday in advance with my father. The overjoy I saw on my dad's eyes were more than enough for a gift! I know this is only one of the most exciting, most thrilling experiences I will encounter this year. 

Bench's staffs were all nice and friendly and sweet! I was even impressed with their teamwork and coordination in putting up this special event.

No wonder why Bench Clothing Brand is actually one of the global pinoy brands we can truly be proud of. November last year, if I am not mistaken, this brand was featured at this very popular American reality television show, which is also my favorite, America's Next Top Model (ANTM)! Produced by none other than Tyra Banks herself. Model, VJ Georgina Wilson was the one who represented Bench on the said show.
